Day Four.

We made it!!! New York to California. Four days, over 3000 miles, 13 states, and about 20 stops (mainly because our bikes started making weird noises resembling "are we there YET?" We are tired but very very happy!

Day Three.

So far we have traveled 23 hours, stopped 10 times and visited 9 states. Last night we stayed in Oklahoma City. On my last trip across the U.S., nine years ago, a local Oklahoman gave me some advice..."Never party naked." I'd like to pass it on to you today. It's proved to be great advice. A very wise local indeed.

Day Two

Seven states, 11 1/2 hours of driving and 5 stops. We'll spend most of today driving through Tennessee. Looking forward to a large glass of sweet tea! Yum.

Coney Island

My mom and dad came to visit for a week.

They had never been to Coney Island so we decided it would be fun to check out the sea life.

We ate at the original Nathan's Famous. mmm.

and checked out the boardwalk.

It was a cold day so mom and dad snuggled up on a bench. how cute.

Day Trip

Mike and I took a day trip to Cold Spring, NY.

We ate lunch at a haunted restaurant, did a little antique shopping,

and ate the most delicious fruit pops. yum.

My friend Jenna invited me over on Sunday for a relaxing day of watching old home videos from college (I laughed so hard I almost peed my leggings), wine and a little hair color. I'm lovin' the copper v. red. Perfect for Autumn.

This is perhaps the most outdated "love list" one could possibly make. Studying hair, looking at hair, thinking about hair, everyday for a year, has left me completely unaware of what is cool (that is, unless it has to do with hair).

I don't want to forget what I love today...even if they are a little old school. So, here it goes...

My nails are a lovely shade of dirty looking. Washing out hair colour for a living makes it look like you've been digging for worms all day. I think wearing this might make me feel a little less dirty and whole lot more Ooh La La.

My sister suggested I visit my local library.

Now, I am completely obsessed.

Where else can you get music, books, movies and magazines for FREE.

Muddy Music.

A few weeks ago, Morgan and I headed (ankle deep in mud) to the

All Points West Music and Arts Festival in New Jersey.

The festival was right on the water with NYC and the Statue of Liberty as our backdrop.

See our lovely lady liberty in the lower right hand corner? Right at the end of the balloons. So pretty.

Morgan got her first taste of The Black Keys live {oh love}.
She also attempted to turn me into a Coldplay fan.
{I hate to admit it but I think she was successful..."green eyes" is what got me}

It was a mudtastic day.

I want to ride my bicycle.

I want to ride it where I like.

One of my favorite parts about summer is being able to spend time riding my bike.

This weekend, we went to Vermont for a joint birthday celebration.

Happy Schooliversary.

A few good things about being required to wear black everyday:

1. Black is always back.

2. It's incredibly slimming.

3. It tends to give that oh-so-chic look even if you (me) really are not oh-so-chic.

5. Lint roller companies stay in business. Hoorah!
